Smashed! news
In fact everything about Smashed! is quite new! - So I've got to tell you
quite a lot! ;-)
Smashed! history:
Smashed! was found in early 1995 by merging Resplendence
(The Squat & Viper) and AXiS (Franky Boy, Sub Zero and Olaf) together.
Just before that, Franky Boy & Olaf of AXiS made the 5th place at the Austrian IBM multimedia
compo at that time. Not bad for two 15 year old guys, since more than 800 people
tried their best there!
Darwin joined Smashed! in summer 1995 (I can't exactly remember the month ;-) ).
Since 1996, Sebastian Kienzl from Scream makes some modules for us, but he does some coding, too.
In Aug. 1996, Science from Sweden joined us. He wanted to make some cool XM's for us
In Okt. 1996 we had some kind of exchange: Science (now "Evade") left Smashed!, and at the same time
Doomsday (Kurt Schlager), from Graz/Austria, joined us. - Finally, we've got our own gfx-man now!
Also, we decided to remove Darwin from the members-list, because we haven't heard anything from him for
more than at least half a year. :-(
Unfortunately, we haven't finished any big production yet. -
BUT we've learned a lot meanwhile!
Texture mapping, gouraud- and phong-shading, vectors and all the common effects
are no problem any more! We've got even our own module-player called S.M.i.K. (GUS, SB16)!
We also stopped coding programs using EMS/XMS! - Now we do 32-bit code using PMODE/W!

Two months ago we started our first big production which we want to present
at The Party '96.
Just to give you an idea:
- VBE 2.0 required (HiColor)
- for best performance P100 with fast VGA-Board or better required
- powerful 3D-engine
- a lot of common as well as new effects
- ...
